1.    The citizen of the foreign country must present the following certificates:
(1)    The marriage status testimony issued by the local notary organ of the foreign country with attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country or the organ authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the attestation by the Chinese embassy or consulate to the country, or the attestation of the marriage status testimony issued by the foreign embassy or consulate to China.
(2)    The above-mentioned documents in foreign language must be translated in full text and the same form into Chinese by a translation agency.
(3)    His or her passport or other effective international travel certificate.


2.    Beijing residents must present the following certificate:
(1)    His or her household registration file and identity card.
(2)    Affidavits for the marriage status testimony and for no-existence of lineal relatives or sanguinity within three generations

3.    Three 2-inch bare-headed photos of the couple
4.    The Beijing resident and the foreign citizen shall jointly pay RMB 9 yuan for the marriage registration per couple.
5.    The office hours of the Marriage Registration Office of Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Administration:

Monday through Friday
9:00 --- 11:30 am     13:30---17:00 pm
